Washing Clothes (Home)

Need:

washing powder (non-bio), fabric softener, oxy white powder

1)

Washing Clothes at home

Sort the clothes. Turn t-shirts and tops inside out (reduces wear on printed images).

Pull socks out the right way round for better cleaning.

CHECK ALL THE POCKETS FOR TISSUES, coins and anything else. Remove belts.

Load the washing machine with the clothes.

Add one scoop of non-bio washing powder in the first slot (left) of the tray.

IF washing white clothes, add half a scoop of oxy washing powder in the first slot (left) of the tray.

Add one cap full of fabric softener in the middle slot of the tray.

Shut the door until it clicks and switch washing machine on.

Press the start button.

When finish sort the washing. Anything that need to be ironed, eg t-shirts, trousers etc. put in the dryer. Everything else hang up to dry.

Turn the dial on the dryer to the third setting on the right (t-shirt and stars).

Turn on the Super Easy (Iron) button.

Press the start button. Set a timer on your phone or watch for 15mins.

When the timer goes off turn the dryer of by turning the dial to OFF. Hang the clothes up. Give the a shake to straighten them, then hang them upside down with the flat pegs to avoid creases.

Take clothes down and fold them ready to be put away.

  • Washing clothes at 30°C saves energy and is easier on the clothes.
  • Washing whites and colours separately will keep the whites whiter, colours can run and make whites look dull when washed together.
