Ingredients:

chicken breast -  1 breast per person depending on meal

Important!

The chicken breast must be defrosted before cooking. You can freeze them in the freezer but take them out the night before you need them to allow them to defrost thoroughly.

In a frying pan

1)

Either chop the chicken up into small pieces.

Or if cooking bigger amounts of chicken slice in half.

For small pieces, fry turning over regularly until cooked.

For bigger pieces cook on one side then the other. To test to see if it's cooked cut it in the middle and check there are no pink bits.

In the oven

Warm the oven to 200°C.

Add a little oil to a baking tray and place the chicken on top. Season anyway you want.

Cook for 20 minutes then cut in half to check its cooked all the way through (not pink inside). If not cooked put it back in the over for another 5 minutes.

In a air fyer

1)

Warm the airfyer up to 200°C and set the timer for 20 minutes.

Spray a little oil at the in the air fryer and add the chicken. Cook and turn half way through.

How should I store chicken leftovers?

Cooked chicken should be put in the fridge in an airtight container as soon as it's cooled, within an hour. Make sure you eat it within 4 days.

Can you warm up cooked chicken?

Yes, you can warm up cooked chicken from your leftovers. You can reheat it in the microwave but not more than once and ensure the chicken is warm all through. Give it a stir half way through.

Can you freeze cooked chicken?

Yes, but only freeze and thaw once. Put your cooked chicken in a container or freezer bag and freeze for up to 4 months. When you want to eat it take it out and let it thaw, ideally overnight then warm all the way through.
