Ingredients:

2 eggs, butter, cheese

peas, mushrooms, bacon,

Put a handful of frozen peas (if using) in a microwavable bowl with a small bit of water and place a plate on top. Place in microwave for 2 minutes at 600.

Grate some cheese.

Crack 2 eggs into a mug, add a bit of salt and pepper and whisk with a fork. Use more eggs if you want a bigger omelette.

Melt a bit of butter in a frying pan and spread around the pan.

Pour the egg mix into the frying pan.

After a minute of cooking add the peas (check they are cooked and drained) and the grated cheese.

Fold in half the omelette, and cook for about half a minute. If you don't like the filling to be too runny cook a little longer.

Place on a plate and eat!

Ingredients:

spaghetti, 2 sausages, frozen peas, butter, pepper, cheese

Boil some water in a saucepan and add the spaghetti. If you don't have spaghetti you can use any pasta.

Fry the sausage in a little oil. Turning as it cooks to brown all round.

Half way through cooking the pasta add frozen peas to the saucepan.

When the pasta is cooked drain the water out, but keep a little bit of water in the saucepan.

Once the sausages are cooked take them out and chop them up into pieces.

Add 2 tablespoons (big spoons) of butter to the saucepan and melt.

Tip the pasta, peas and sausage into the saucepan, add pepper and mix.

Sort the clothes. Turn t-shirts and tops inside out (reduces wear on printed images).

Pull socks out the right way round for better cleaning.

CHECK ALL THE POCKETS FOR TISSUES, coins and anything else. Remove belts.

Load the washing machine with the clothes.

Add one washing tablet into the washing machine and shut the door.

Select the 2. 40 °C Colours programme.

  • Washing clothes at 30°C (or as low as possible) saves energy and is easier on the clothes.
  • Washing whites and colours separately will keep the whites whiter, colours can run and make whites look dull when washed together.

Ingredients:

tortilla wraps, 1 chicken breast, onion, pepper, fajita seasoning mix, lettuce, lime, salsa or sour cream

Alternatives:

Use Quorn pieces instead of chicken for a vegetation option.

Chicken Fajitas

Chop up the chicken into small 5cm strips.

Chop up the half an onion and half a pepper also into 5cm strips.

Fry the chicken in a little oil.

When the chicken is nearly cooked (white all over), tip the water out (if you can) and add the peppers and onions to the frying pan to cook.

Chop up some lettuce while everything is cooking, and slice a lime in half.

Sprinkle some Fajita seasoning over the chicken mix and stir in.

When everything is cooked. Place a tortilla wrap on a plate and warm in the microwave at around 600 for 35 seconds.

Place the chicken mix on the wrap with lettuce and squeeze of lime and some salsa and or sour cream. Fold up from the bottom and wrap the sides to eat.

Ingredients:

spaghetti, 1 chicken breast, cajun seasoning, spring onions, garlic granules, 150ml double cream, lemon juice

Slice the chicken in half.

Put in a bowl and sprinkle cajun seasoning over the chicken. Turn the chicken over and make sure the seasoning covers the whole chicken.

Chop up a couple of spring onions.

Boil some water in a saucepan and add the spaghetti. If you don't have spaghetti you can use any pasta.

Add a little oil into a frying pan then fry the chicken on both sides in the hot oil.

Stir the pasta to stop it sticking the bottom of the saucepan.

To check the chicken is cooked through cut it open in the middle and check that it's white, and NOT pink, all the way through. Once cooked take out and put aside on a plate.

Next fry the spring onions with some garlic granules. Add a little bit more oil if you need to to the frying pan.

Add the all the cream and two tablespoons of lemon juice to the spring onions. Gentle mix it together.

Get her daily box of food out of the cupboard which is below the fruit bowl. All of her things are here on the top shelf.

Break up one morning tablet from the jar with the gold lid and add this to her bowl.

Upset tummy

KimiIf Kimi has an upset tummy, she doesn't seem to want her food and you can hear her tummy gurgling then give her a charcoal biscuit.

They are in her cupboard. You might have to break it up and feed it to her in small pieces. If she hasn't got any better you can give her another one. They are safe, she can have as many as she needs.

Turn the top oven on (dial to the right with the two lines) and set the temperature to around 130°C. Wait for it to warm which will take around 3 minutes or until the light goes off.

Put the pastries on a oven tray and into the oven for 5 minutes.

chicken breast -  1 breast per person depending on meal

Important!

The chicken breast must be defrosted before cooking. You can freeze them in the freezer but take them out the night before you need them to allow them to defrost thoroughly.

In a frying pan

Either chop the chicken up into small pieces.

Or if cooking bigger amounts of chicken slice in half.

For small pieces, fry turning over regularly until cooked.

For bigger pieces cook on one side then the other. To test to see if it's cooked cut it in the middle and check there are no pink bits.

In the oven

Warm the oven to 200°C.

Add a little oil to a baking tray and place the chicken on top. Season anyway you want.

Cook for 20 minutes then cut in half to check its cooked all the way through (not pink inside). If not cooked put it back in the over for another 5 minutes.

In a air fyer

Warm the airfyer up to 200°C and set the timer for 20 minutes.

Spray a little oil at the in the air fryer and add the chicken. Cook and turn half way through.

How should I store chicken leftovers?

Cooked chicken should be put in the fridge in an airtight container as soon as it's cooled, within an hour. Make sure you eat it within 4 days.

Can you warm up cooked chicken?

Yes, you can warm up cooked chicken from your leftovers. You can reheat it in the microwave but not more than once and ensure the chicken is warm all through. Give it a stir half way through.

Can you freeze cooked chicken?

Yes, but only freeze and thaw once. Put your cooked chicken in a container or freezer bag and freeze for up to 4 months. When you want to eat it take it out and let it thaw, ideally overnight then warm all the way through.

Ingredients:

tortilla wraps, tin of Taco beans or mixed beans, pepper (any colour), cheese

Optional:

chicken, chips, tomato salsa, sour cream

If you want to have chicken in this dish cook the chicken first. See how to cook chicken. Once cooked chop it up in 2-3cm pieces and put this into a mixing bowl.

Quesadillas

Pour 1 tin of mixed beans into a mixing bowl and mash this up with a fork or masher. Add grated cheese, half a chopped up pepper and the chicken if using, and mix it all together.

Quesadillas

Lay a tortilla wrap on a plate and put the mixture over half the wrap and then fold over. Make two like this.

Quesadillas

Warm a frying pan up and add the wraps to the frying pan. Cooking on one side for 2-3 minutes and then turn over and do the other side.

Quesadillas

Cut each wrap into 2 or 3 pieces and serve with the chips.

tuna, sweetcorn & mayonnaise
mixed Mexican beans beans
cottage cheese, spring onions & prawns
bacon, hard-boiled eggs & mayonnaise

Jacket Potato

Wash the outside of the potato then prick the outside of the potato with a knife or fork.

Place on a microwaveable plate and place in the microwave on 900 for 6 minutes. If your microwave has less power just cook it for a minute or two longer. Turn the potato over when it's half way through.

While it is in the microwave, warm the oven to 200°C.

When finished in the microwave, place the potato on a baking tray and rub it all around with a little oil.
TIP: Washing-up liquid gets oil off your fingers.

Place in the oven for 10 minutes. Try and turn the potatoes over after 5mins.

When finished transfer to a plate and cut a cross in the top of the potato. Add butter to melt into the potato.
